The Garden & Greenhouse

The Garden & Greenhouse Project provides inclusion and employment opportunities for people with significant disabilities, who learn to cultivate, grow, and harvest vegetables, plants, flowers, and trees to be used or sold throughout the County of Greenville and Upstate South Carolina.

Who We Help

The primary goal of The Garden & Greenhouse Project is to assist people with significant intellectual and physical disabilities in a meaningful activity that will produce income for themselves as well as facilitate community integration with normally developing neighbors.  The program’s objectives are as follows:

  • Promote the independence of individuals through structured choice, community integration, and the enhancement of socialization skills, as evidenced by positive progress on each individual’s person-centered treatment plan.
  • Provide individuals with training and job skills that will eventually allow them to locate and maintain jobs in the private sector, as evidenced by progress in soft skills in the individual’s treatment plans.
