Why?

As a nonprofit, we depend on community donations and service to do our best work.

Greenville was the first county in South Carolina to fight against forced institutionalization of people with disabilities.  In 1953, Greenville County families formed what would become Thrive Upstate because EVERY PERSON deserves to enjoy a community, a home, and independence.

Today, we share that vision of keeping families and communities united, and we are excited to enable individuals with disabilities and special needs to live, work, play, and thrive at home in Greenville.
